The invention relates to an electrometer oxygen detector meant to detect and measure low oxygen concentrations in non-flammable gases. According to the invention, the electrometer oxygen detector consists of an oxygen detector comprising a thermally insulating cylinder (11) closed at its ends and filled with a thermally insulating material, a heating body (10) separated from the thermally insulating cylinder (11) by a thermal and electric shield (8), an electrically insulating cylindrical body (9) acting as an electromagnetic shield for the measuring elements located therein, two cylindrical covers (7) for the inlet and outlet of the gas to be measured, a measuring cell fixed, by means of a fastening piece (5), to the electrically insulating cylindrical body (9) and consisting of a cylindrical metal chamber (6) containing a reference standard gas, two oxygen-sensitive sensors (1), a perforated metal cylinder (2) intended to fix the sensors (1), a precision thermocouple (3) for high temperatures and an electrically insulating gasket (4) which electrically separates the chamber (6) from the common electrode of one of the sensors (1), as well as of some auxiliary modules comprising a pulse generator (GP) needed for the operation of the sensors, a differential measuring amplifier (AD) which practically measures the oxygen concentration, a monitoring and regulating module (MRO) intended to regulate the sensors at the optimal conversion characteristic, an optocoupler (OC) achieving the galvanic separation between the electric circuits of the oxygen detector and a power circuit producing the oxygen detector heating to the optimal temperature.
|
