<p>A pallet system for storage and transportation of goods, comprising a load bearing support structure, wherein the support structure has an upper side for supporting a load and an underside, a number of elongated support members, the elongated support members being open on the upper side of the support structure, and tapering downwards, where by the elongated support members are at least partly nestable in a subjacent pallet. Furthermore, the load bearing support structure is formed from a starting material containing at least one plastic-based component and at least one fiber-based component, as a single piece of material of essentially uniform thickness. In some embodiments, the pallet system further comprises a top plate adapted to be fitted within a peripheral rim of the support structure.</p> |
