The invention relates to machining apparatus (1) for dividing panel-shaped workpieces (3), particularly a panel divider saw (2), provided with a machine frame (4) that forms a supporting table for the workpieces (3), with a linear guide device (19), which is mounted inside the machine frame (4), and provided with a running carriage (20). Said running carriage is mounted inside the guide assembly (19) in a manner that enables it to be displaced by an advancing device (21) and is provided with a machining device (23). A pressure beam (9), which can be displaced in a vertical direction with regard to supporting table, is mounted in lateral cheeks (6). The machining device (23) is mounted in the running carriage (20) in a manner that enables it to pivot about a pivot axis (37). This pivot axis is parallel to a direction of displacement of the running carriage (20) and extends approximately in a plane (38) formed by a supporting surface (5) of the supporting table. The lateral cheeks (6), in which the pressure beam (9) is displaceably mounted, comprise displacing drives (7) for the pressure beam (9) and are mounted on the machine frame (4) inside guides (12) whereby being able to be displaced in a direction that is perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the running carriage (20). |
