<p>When a turning state detection unit (12) determines that the host vehicle (Ca) is in a turning state, a detection region changing unit (13) changes the position of each detection region relative to the host vehicle (Ca), or the shape or area of each detection region, on the basis of the turning state of the host vehicle (Ca) (detection regions: Raa, Rab). For example, the smaller the turning radius of the host vehicle (Ca) is, the more the detection region changing unit (13) shortens the length of the detection regions. In such a way, regions in proximity to the host vehicle (Ca) will be set to a limited extent as the detection regions (Raa, Rab).</p> |
