602422 Mixing apparatus for mixing a powdered animal feed substance in a liquid. The apparatus has a tank 20 and a pump 23. A dispersing means 37, 38 is located within the tank 20 and has a plurality of outlets 40, 41 which are arranged so that when, in use, liquid is within the tank, the outlets are above the surface of the liquid in the tank and are orientated such that they are directed toward the surface. The pump 23 is connected to an inlet 36 and an outlet 26 of the tank 20. The dispersing means 37, 38 is coupled to the inlet 36. The pump 23 creates a flow of liquid (and any powdered feed substance mixed therein) through the plurality of outlets 40, 41 to the surface of the liquid to thereby create a turbulence in the liquid in the tank to facilitate mixing of the powdered feed substance and the liquid. |
