The present invention relates to a height adjusting apparatus for a top plate of furniture that is capable of simply adjusting the top plate to have a given height by means of cam operating means and link means. According to the present invention, the height adjusting apparatus includes: a furniture body having a top plate; fixing means having base fixing brackets fixed to the furniture body and object fixing brackets fixed to the top plate; link members connecting the base fixing brackets and the object fixing brackets of the fixing means to each other so as to locate the top plate at a given height; and cam operation means each having a cam structure having two or more stepped inclination angles so as to adjust the link members with a desired force within a necessary range. |
