The present invention relates to an apparatus for polishing an edge surface of a flat glass at high efficiency which is capable of polishing rapidly, simply and precisely an edge surface of a glass (flat glass), which may be used as a display panel such as LCD or PDP, or a protecting panel, at high efficiency and of automatically processing a plurality of glasses at the same time so that the apparatus can contribute to the productivity improvement. That is, an apparatus (A) for polishing an edge surface of a flat glass according to the present invention, which is capable of polishing edge surfaces of four edges of a glass for display panel, which is cut by a hard diamond cutting wheel, includes a glass bundle fixing clamp device (100) installed at one side of the apparatus (A) for fixing a plurality of glasses stacked in a multistage in a lump; a polishing brush wheel (200) for removing a concave-convex portion (crack element) and a burr formed on edge surfaces of the glasses fixed in state that the glasses are stacked in a multistage at one side or both sides of the glass bundle fixing clamp device while being rubbed with the edge surfaces; and a polishing liquid injection nozzle (300) installed on an upper end portion of the glass bundle fixing clamp device for injecting polishing liquid such as cerium oxide between a brush wheel rubbed with the glasses and the glasses. |
