Disclosed are a wireless power receiving apparatus for improving transmission power using effective load resistance modulation of a receiving means and a wireless power transmission system using the same. A receiving unit of the wireless power receiving apparatus receives power from a wireless power transmitter. A rectification circuit unit rectifies and outputs current outputted from the receiving unit. A load resistance modulation unit receives a control signal including a duty ratio and increases the magnitude of equivalent resistance to improve efficiency by controlling the flow of the current to be applied from the rectification circuit according to the received control signal to vary the magnitude of the effective load resistance.
