The present invention relates to a gene delivery system (GDS) for plant transformation using a plant virus and a use thereof. The use of a recombinant plant expression vector including a GDS cassette and reverse transcriptase which are inserted into a plant virus gene, leads to prompt and easy transformation of plants without tissue culture. In addition, the GDS cassette of the present invention is applicable to and operable in various virus genes, thereby producing transformants of various host plants which can be infected by viruses.
