The present invention relates to a computer aided design method for various piping such as plant pipes for petrochemical and power production facilities and building pipes for water and sewage and air conditioning, and a program performing the method, which are capable of forming piping combination by combining piping elements such as pipes, elbows, and tees, etc., building a database (DB) to record types, identification information, contact information, and characteristics of the piping elements, etc., recording the identification information of other piping elements connected to corresponding piping elements as contact information for each piping element, and regarding, as a piping element, a junction between the piping elements such as a weld joint and managing the junction, thereby suppressing an unnecessary change of identification information of the piping elements in the modification of the piping combination such as the insertion of a piping element while preventing the duplication between the identification information of the piping elements in a process of computer aided design for piping. According to the present invention, piping elements and junctions applied to computer aided design for piping can be managed systematically and efficiently when performing the computer aided design for piping, and a design error can be minimized while maximizing user convenience, thereby improving the quality of results of computer aided design for piping and reducing a period and personnel required for the computer aided design for piping. |
