A backing plate and a network device. The backing plate includes a circuit board(1) and connectors including a plurality of pins(2) passing through the through holes in the circuit board(1); consequently, a first end and a second end of every connector are formed on two sides of the circuit board(1), the second end being used to connect with a user device. The backing plate further includes an insulating layer which includes a first part(31) surrounding the second ends, and a second part(32), which is connected to the first part(31) and seals the connection part between the second ends and the circuit board(1). The backing plate and the network device employ an insulating layer to seal the connection part between the connector and the circuit board(1), so as to prevent short circuit caused by water getting through the through holes on the circuit board, thereby avoiding short circuit and burning off of the backing plate effectively. |
