Provided is a music play electronic device which makes the display of a music control window possible without disturbing an additional function on a screen while the additional function is being executed. The present invention includes: an input unit for receiving information according to key or menu operation of a user; a control unit for executing an additional function according to the information inputted by the input unit; and a display unit for receiving control signals from the control unit and displaying on a screen. The control unit starts playing music when the music play function is selected, and controls a music control window which provides music play information according to the selected music play function to be displayed on a predetermined region within the additional function execution screen. Therefore, the rapid control of music play is possible by displaying the music control window in a part of the screen which the additional function is being executed without converting the current screen to the music play control screen for controlling the music play function, when listening to the music while executing the additional function in the same electronic device.
