FIELD: transport.SUBSTANCE: set of inventions relates to automotive driving system and to carrier. Proposed method consists in defining if the carrier should be driven at low gear ratio in compliance with the first or second modes proceeding from need in motive force. In first driving mode, carrier is driven without fuel feed to said engine. In second mode, fuel is fed to the engine to generate motive force. Proposed system comprises means to define if the carrier should be driven at low gear ratio. Low gear ratio is such that engine rpm is lower than that whereat low gear ratio features horizontal section of torque curve in compliance with aforesaid first or second mode.
