The present invention relates to a lighting apparatus and a lighting method for a crosswalk to enable a driver to recognize pedestrians easily by lighting the crosswalk and, more particularly, to a lighting apparatus and a lighting method for a crosswalk which divide a corresponding area of the crosswalk into a number of zones and illuminate each zone of the divided crosswalk sequentially along the passing direction of the pedestrian from the most adjacent area to the pedestrian. According to the lighting apparatus and the lighting method for the crosswalk of the present invention, an LED installed in each lighting board illuminates each zone of the virtually divided crosswalk so that installation costs can be reduced; the lighting apparatus of the present invention can be applied to the crosswalk of wide traffic lanes; and concentration of lighting to a partial area can be prevented. Also, according to the lighting apparatus and the lighting method of the present invention, the corresponding area of the crosswalk is divided into a number of zones and each zone of the divided crosswalk is illuminated sequentially from the most adjacent zone to the pedestrian so that energy efficiency can be improved and the driver can recognize the pedestrian crossing the crosswalk easily. |
