The station has a set of bearings mounted on a connecting rod of an engine block using a mounting tool. A cylindrical longitudinal support bar (4) is connected to a retaining bar (2) to pivot the mounting tool around an axis of the support bar so as to allow positioning of one of the bearings on the connecting rod. The support bar is fixed by three brackets (6) distributed over the top of the retaining bar. The mounting tool includes a retaining part to prevent movement of the rod during pressing of the bearing.
