The invention relates to eddy current magnetic separators and can be used in technologies of extraction of conductive particles from non-ferrous metals from common product flow, for example from a flow of cullet in glass industry, from a flow of industrial waste in other branches of industry, from a flow of domestic waste. An eddy current separator comprises a tray of product feeder, a device for product transport, a thin-walled drum made of a nonconductive nonmagnetic material, inside which eccentrically to it a magnetic rotor is rotatably mounted, whose magnetic system is formed of permanent magnets arranged in a circle with alternating polarity. In the inventive separator the device for transporting product is a thin-walled drum, the tray of product feeder is made with possibility of product supply directly on the outer surface of the thin-walled drum and the magnetic system of the magnetic rotor is made of tangentially magnetized permanent magnets separated along a circle by ferromagnetic wedge-shaped concentrators, to which the permanent magnets are adjacent with like poles. The invention improves separation efficiency of the product with smaller size of electroconductive particles and smaller value of their electrical conductivity. |
