A motion sensor network method performing illumination in a group unit using an infrared communications sensor, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: sensing, by one sensor module, a first motion of a person or a vehicle to turn on one lighting module; performing, by the one sensor module, infrared communications with other neighboring sensor modules to turn on other lighting modules; maintaining the on-operation of the one and the other lighting modules if the one sensor module or the other sensor modules senses or sense a second motion of the person or the vehicle; and turning off the one lighting module or the other lighting modules if the one sensor module or the other sensor modules does not or do not sense the second motion of the person or the vehicle for a predetermined time.
