The disclosed worm comprises coils. Coils on the working side are made with a concave axial profile, and the coils on the non-working side - with a convex profile, which are cut by a standard cutter according to the following equations: (1)where- independent variable; - axial width of the worm coil depressions; - angle of the cutting edges of a cutter; - radius of the coil depressions; - factor of cutter shift; - angle of the worm turn during its manufacture; - angle of raising worm turns on the pitch cylinder; - worm screw parameter.The upper signs in equations belong to the convex side of a coil, lower ones - to the concave side of a coil. |
