<p>The invention relates to a rotary abutment for the front axle of an automobile that comprises a first fixed annular member (1) bearing against a fixed portion of the bodywork of the vehicle and a second mobile annular member (2) capable of rotation relative to the first member (1), said second member (2) surrounding and bearing the upper end (3) of a strut of the front axle and bearing the effort applied by a suspension spring (4) surrounding said strut, a ball bearing (5) or the like being provided between the two annular members (1, 2) and said members (1, 2) being made of a plastic material, characterised in that the second annular member (2) is reinforced with a metal insert (7) imbedded in the plastic material of said second member (2).</p> |
