A gas-discharge electron gun relates to electron technique and development of gas-discharge electron guns for process purpose mainly for powerful electron-beam installations. The gas-discharge electron gun comprises a sealed metal housing, wherein a high-voltage bushing with dismountable insulators is installed, an electrode system, a process gas ventilation system and focusing electrodes. The electrode system comprises a cooled massive cathode and a hollow anode. The new in the gas-discharge gun construction is a flange meant for mounting the gas-discharge gun on a process camera which is installed under the hollow anode with process gas ventilation system and focusing electrodes; the coils of focusing system and electron beam deflection system are fixed to said flange on side of the process camera. The invention simplifies electron gun adjustment and reduces manufacturing cost of the powerful gas-discharge electron guns for electron-beam melting installations. |
