Provided are: a material which has high transparency and excellent sputtering resistance and heat resistance, does not undergo cracking, and can be formed into a cured film having a thickness of 10 to 200 μm by the application or printing of the material; and a cured film and a display element, each of which is produced using the material. Specifically, a heat-curable composition comprising a siloxane polymer component and a solvent, wherein the siloxane polymer component contains a siloxane polymer (A), which is a polymer produced by reacting a silane mixture comprising a monofunctional silane represented by general formula (1) with a trifunctional silane represented by general formula (2), in an amount of 90 wt% or more relative to the whole amount of the siloxane polymer component, and a trifunctional silane wherein R represents a C6-10 aryl group in which an arbitrary hydrogen atom may be substituted by a halogen atom is contained as the trifunctional silane represented by general formula (2) in an amount of 30 mol% or more relative to the whole amount of the trifunctional silane.
