The present invention refers to the obtention of a metallic salt of glucosamine, which is effective in the treatment of arthritic and rheumatic ailments resulting from a metabolic disorder in bone and joint tissues. More particularly, the invention refers to the process for obtaining glucosamine sulfate stabilized with 2KCl of pharmaceutical use, which is obtained from biomaterials with high content of chitin. The main purpose of the invention is to establish the steps and parameters of a process for producing glucosamine sulfate stabilized with 2KCl with pharmaceutical quality obtained from chitin-rich biomaterials.
