PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an inkjet recording material having few coating defects by using a stable coating solution without compromising the excellent ink absorbability of an inkjet recording material having an ink receptive layer including a vapor-phase-process silica and alumina or alumina hydrate.SOLUTION: The provided method for manufacturing an inkjet recording material is a method for manufacturing an inkjet recording material for coating and configuring, atop a support medium, an ink receptive layer including a vapor-phase-process silica and alumina or alumina hydrate wherein a coating liquid is provided by inline-mixing a liquid including a vapor-phase-process silica and a liquid including the alumina or alumina hydrate and then coated for configuring the ink receptive layer.
