PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polypropylene composition capable of suppressing degradation of tensile strength (breaking elongation) even if a filler is blended with polypropylene, and to provide a polypropylene composition.SOLUTION: A method for producing a polypropylene composition comprises: an adsorption step of allowing a halloysite nanotube to adsorb a polymerization catalyst; a saturation step of saturating a solvent with a propylene monomer; a mixing step of mixing the halloysite nanotube having adsorbed a polymerization catalyst in the adsorption step and the solvent saturated with a propylene monomer in the saturation step; and a polymerization step of polymerizing the propylene monomer mixed in the mixing step to obtain a polypropylene composition.
