In a reservation assistance device capable of communicating with a terminal device to be used by a user, content inputted into the terminal device is analysed. A response having prescribed content is issued in accordance with the analysis result. It is determined whether information required for a reservation related to a prescribed activity is satisfied, and in cases when it is determined that the information required for the reservation is not satisfied, a response having content prompting input of required information is issued. In cases when it is determined that the required information for the reservation is satisfied, the required information for the reservation is registered. In cases when a terminal device of another user is included in a destination address of a message received from a terminal device of one user, temporarily registered information is extracted, and a response having prescribed content is issued in accordance with the temporarily registered information such that said prescribed content can be read by both the one user and the other user.
