PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of improving density stability of an output image by appropriately correcting image forming conditions on the basis of a color measurement result of multiple color images on a recording medium.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: image forming means for forming an image constituted of one or more primary color images on a recording medium on the basis of input image information; color measuring means for measuring colors of a plurality of areas in the image; density estimation means for estimating density of the primary color images constituting the image for each of the plurality of areas measured in terms of color; density level determination means for determining density levels of the primary color images for each of the plurality of areas, from comparison between the density of the primary color images based on the input image information and the density estimated by the density estimation means; and image forming condition correction means for correcting image forming conditions for the image forming means on the basis of the determined density level.
