PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an optical device 1 in which the whole thickness is thin and a narrow space can be formed between a surface TP of an optical chip 3 in which an optical active region R of the optical device 1 is formed and a translucent substrate 5 in a simple step.SOLUTION: An optical device 1 comprises: a base substrate 2; an optical chip 3 mounted on the base substrate 2 and including an optical active region R on a surface TP on the side opposite to the base substrate 2; a projected metal 4 installed closer to an outer peripheral side than the optical active region R of the surface TP; a translucent substrate 5 installed on the projected metal 4; and a resin layer 6 installed between the base substrate 2 and the translucent substrate 5 and around the optical chip 3. |
