The present invention provides a lamp for a vehicle comprising: an image acquisition part for acquiring the external image of a vehicle; a light source detection part for detecting a light source from the acquired image; and a reflector detection part for tracing the luminous intensity of the light sources detected in each image frame, and determining the light source as being generated by the reflector when the variation of the luminous intensity of the light source traced to a reference frame based on the luminous intensity of the light source of an initial frame is greater than a predetermined threshold value. The present invention can accurately control a high beam operation in response to oncoming vehicles.
