A plug connector (1) is prevented from being locked when the plug connector (1) is inserted into a receptacle connector (2) so as to fit diagonally with respect to the receptacle connector (2) in a multi-core connector having a ZIF structure. In this connector, engaging pins (1-1) formed on the side part of the plug connector (1) are pulled in by pin pull-in parts provided to hooks (2-3-2) formed on shafts (2-3-1) rotatably arranged in the receptacle connector (2), whereby the plug connector (1) is inserted into and locked in the receptacle connector (2), wherein the hooks (2-3-2) are provided with protrusion parts (2-3-2-1) for preventing the pins (1-1) from rotating when the plug connector (1) is fitted diagonally.
