The present invention relates to a composition comprising leaf extract of Dendropanax morbifera, and to a pharmaceutical composition and health functional food comprising powder or extract obtainable by extracting and concentrating Dendropanax morbifera leaves using various solvents for preventing and treating bowl diseases such as constipation through the activation of enterokinesia. The leaf extract of Dendropanax morbifera according to the present invention is verified as having excellent effects of promoting enterokinesia, treating intestinal disorders and improving constipation in a rat experiment. The leaf extract of Dendropanax morbifera according to the present invention can be valuably used as a pharmaceutical composition and health functional food for preventing and treating bowl disease such as constipation through the activation of enterokinesia.
