The vehicle chassis has an engine compartment (1) which is separated from a passenger compartment (3) by a front wall (2) and two longitudinal girders (4). The front portions (8) of longitudinal girders are extended on both sides of the engine compartment. The reinforcing portions (15) are branched from front portion and extended on passenger compartment toward the side of the end wall to lateral wall portions. The lateral wall portions are arranged between lateral edges of the front wall and the side door openings (30) of the passenger compartment.
