The system (1) has open hydraulic brake circuits though which an external power braking or an internal power braking and an auxiliary worker braking of an electrical or hybrid vehicle are exclusively feasible. The external power braking is performed in normal operation of the vehicle such that predetermined brake force distribution on rotatable wheels (HL, HR, VL, VR) of the vehicle is more adjustable, where the braking force generated during the normal operation is higher than the braking force generated upon failure of external power braking in the brake circuit. An independent claim is also included for a method for generating braking force in a vehicle.
