A magnetic storage matrix is constructed by adhering magnetic tubes 12 of rectangular hysteresis loop material, Fig. 1, both to one another and to a ceramic or glass base plate 10, slicing the tubes at spaced intervals so as to form an array of separate cores 14a-14h, as shown in Fig. 2, and then wiring by inserting vertical column conductors Y 1 -Y 8 and diagonal row conductors X 1 -X 8 . The adhesive used may be glyptol-thyolite, quartz cement or a glass-like epoxy resin, and the slicing operation is performed by using an ultrasonic cutter or a diamond saw. The base-plate is stated to perform the function of a heat sink. |
