PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melt spinning apparatus with CIQ for producing a high-quality yarn having a total fineness of 75 de or greater and a single fiber fineness of 2 dpf or greater.SOLUTION: The melt spinning apparatus includes: a spinning beam 20; a plurality of cooling cylinders 31 disposed below the spinning beam 20; a cooling air supply box 40 for supplying cooling air around the cooling cylinders 31; and an extension cylinder 50 disposed below the cooling air supply box 40 and forming a second travel space 54 for allowing a filament group F to travel. The extension cylinder 50 includes: a rectification part 51 for rectifying cooling air flowing in from the cooling cylinders 31; and an open part 52 formed below the rectification part 51 and serving for communication between the second travel space 54 and the outside. When a yarn Y has a total fineness of 75 de or greater and a single fiber fineness of 2 dpf or greater, the rectification part 51 is set to have a length X from the lower end of a cooling air blowoff part 34 of the cooling cylinders 31 to the lower end of the rectification part 51 of 100 mm≤X≤200 mm, and the open part 52 is set to have a length Y from the lower end of the rectification part 51 to the lower end of the open part 52 of 50 mm≤Y≤200 mm. |
