PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to hold a stator for prevention against vibration and noise if the stator is divided with respect to a method of fixing the stator to a housing only with a bolt not in contact with a frame.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine includes split cores 42 split in a peripheral direction as a stator 4 surrounding a periphery of a rotor 1, a cylindrical frame 2 surrounding a periphery of the stator, and a pair of housing parts (housing 3) provided at one axial side part and the other axial side part of the frame so as to hold a bearing of the rotor, and also includes a holding ring 5 having a stator holding part 51 formed in a cylindrical shape having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the frame and holding the split cores on an inner peripheral side, and contact area reduction parts 52 formed by projecting a plurality of predetermined peripheral places outside one axial end of the stator holding part in axial directions, the stator and frame being held not in contact with each other by fixing the contact area reduction parts to one of the housing parts. |
