PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of reducing power consumption more by lowering the operation frequency of a memory device more without deteriorating access performance in the case where an information processor uses the memory device of WideIO.SOLUTION: The information processor of this invention selects a memory channel group of the number of memory channels which can maintain a required data transfer rate even though reducing an operation frequency among memory channel groups composed of combinations that can be taken by available channels in the WideIO memory device. In such a case, an MFP 100 evaluates the power consumption of the WideIO memory device in the case of using each memory channel group with operation frequency and operation voltage corresponding to the number of memory channels of each memory channel group, and a transfer rate required to execute a job. The MFP 100 selects a memory channel group whose power consumption becomes the lowest as a result of evaluating the power consumption, and uses the memory channel group to execute the job. |
