PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device using a polarizing filter that enables a desirable image for a user to be captured.SOLUTION: An image pickup element outputs an image signal based on incident light via a PL filter (polarizing filter). While the polarizing filter is rotated at 180°, a luminance level or a chroma level based on the image signal is evaluated, and a rotation angle range (a 90° range) of the PL filter in which the luminance level or chroma level varies by the maximum value and the minimum value is detected. Then, in the detected range, the PL filter is rotated by a unit rotation angle (15°), a target input image is photographed every time the filter is rotated by the unit rotation angle, whereby a plurality of target input images (I[1] to I[7]) is captured (continuous shooting is performed while rotating the PL filter). |
