The present invention relates to a resin composition which contains a polymer having a bivalent oligofluorene as a repeating unit, said resin composition being characterized in that the bivalent oligofluorene contains at least two fluorene moieties each of which may have a substituent, a carbon atom located at position-9 in one of the fluorene moieties and a carbon atom located at position-9 in the other of the fluorine moieties are bound to each other directly or through an alkylene group that may have a substituent, an arylene group that may have a substituent or an aralkylene group that may have a substituent, and the ratio of a phase difference (Re450) as measured at a wavelength of 450 nm to a phase difference (Re550) as measured at a wavelength of 550 nm fulfills formula (2).
