This photon-counting x-ray CT device has: an x-ray tube that radiates x-rays; a detector that counts photons deriving from the radiated x-rays; a raw-data-generating unit that collects the counting results of the detector and generates raw data with respect to each of a plurality of energy bands from the counting results; an information compressing unit that refers to the value of the raw data in alternation among the raw data for each energy band that was generated, and performs information compression for each unit of raw data; and a data transmission unit that transmits the raw data that has been subjected to information compression.
