<p>Provided is a charging control device that is capable of preventing a battery discharge phenomenon, which can occur when a battery is connected in reverse, using a simple circuit configuration. The charging control device, which is used in a motorcycle (1) having cranking means (71, 72) for cranking an engine (32) without using power from the battery (17), is provided with an on-signal disabling circuit (80) that disables an on-signal when the battery (17) is connected in reverse, whereby a negative terminal (61) is connected to a positive electrode terminal (17a) of the battery (17), and a positive terminal (64) is connected to a negative electrode terminal (17b). The on-signal disabling circuit (80) contains a transistor (81) that opens when the battery (17) is connected properly, and closes when the battery is connected in reverse. The transistor (81) is connected to a bypass circuit (97) that branches from a charging control signal line (82) and connects to the positive terminal (64).</p> |
