Abstract The present invention provides a method for assessing safety risk in a workplace. The method includes the steps of: identifying one or more key safety behaviours; measuring the one or more key safety behaviours; grouping the one or more key safety behaviours into four categories including leadership, risk culture, actions to mitigate hazards and risks, and continuous improvement; analysing the one or more key safety behaviours to ascertain trends; and delivering one or more reports based on the measured key safety behaviours. The one or more key safety behaviours are measured using a 7-point rating scale of acceptability, wherein a score of 1 on the 7-point rating scale indicates the key safety behaviour is never observed and a score of 7 on the 7-point rating scale indicates the key safety behaviour is consistently observed. |
