Disclosed is a method for monitoring a machine type communication device event, comprising: a network side detecting a machine type communication (MTC) device event; and when it is detected that the MTC device event has occurred or ended, sending an event report to an MTC server via a PCRF, and indicating the MTC device event which has occurred or ended in the event report. Also disclosed at the same time is a system and network side for monitoring an MTC device event. By means of the solution of the present invention, a network side can report an MTC device event to an MTC server, and can process the MTC device in accordance with the MTC device event which has occurred and resume the normal activity of the MTC device when detecting that the MTC device event occurred has ended. |
