The invention relates to a tundish car (1) having a tundish (2) for a continuous casting machine, having - a travelling frame (3) which can be displaced in a displacement direction (4), comprising two longitudinal members (5a, 5b) arranged in the displacement direction (4) and two cross members (7a, 7b) arranged in a transverse direction (6), wherein the transverse direction (6) is arranged normally to the displacement direction (4). The object of the invention is to provide a tundish car (1) having a tundish (2) such that all of the strands of a multistrand casting installation are readily accessible, in particular for billet, bloom or beam cross sections. This object is achieved by - two lifting elements (8a, 8b) which are arranged in a first plane (11) parallel to the displacement direction (4), wherein each lifting element (8a, 8b) is releasably connected to a cross member (7a, 7b); - two lifting frames (9a, 9b) for receiving the tundish (2), wherein each lifting frame (9a, 9b) is connected to a lifting element (8a, 8b) and the lifting frame (9a, 9b) can be lifted or lowered by the lifting element (8a, 8b) in a lifting direction (10) which is arranged normally to the displacement direction (4) and normally to the transverse direction (6); - the tundish (2) having a plurality of outlets (12), wherein the outlets (12) are arranged in a second plane (24) parallel to the displacement direction. |
