The present invention provides a method and an apparatus for implementing mobile payment. The above implementation method is implemented through a financial smart card mounted in a mobile terminal. The method comprises: the financial smart card acquiring payment information generated when the financial smart card carries on a transaction with an external reader; and the financial smart card sending the payment information to a UnionPay settlement system through the mobile terminal, so as to process the payment. By means of the above technical solutions provided in the present invention, technical problems are solved in which a user and a terminal are limited by an existing mobile payment solution in a related technology, so as to achieve an effect that a mobile payment mode is dominated by the UnionPay and is not restricted by a mobile operator.
