[Problem] To provide an image-acquiring device capable of rapidly measuring the inclination of a slide glass and a method for measuring the inclination of a slide. [Solution] An image-acquiring device is provided with: a stage on which is placed a slide having a specimen placed on a slide glass and covered with a cover glass; a stage moving part for moving the stage; a detection unit for detecting the position of the specimen on the slide; an auto-collimator for directing a laser beam to allow the inclination of the slide glass to be detected, the laser beam being directed from the side of the stage-placed slide glass opposite the side on which the specimen is placed; and a control unit for controlling the stage moving part so that the laser beam is directed at a position of the specimen on the slide, the auto-collimator detecting the inclination.
