A toy vehicle launch device (3), to which is removably mounted a toy vehicle (2) having a rotatable body (250) as a power source, and which imparts rotation to the rotatable body (250) to remove the toy vehicle (2), is provided with: an engaging claw (400) which removably engages the toy vehicle (2); a launching switch (32S) which releases a locked state of the toy vehicle (2) by way of the engaging claw (400) in accordance with a user operation; a power supply unit (311) which has three batteries (B) which are serially connected so as to be usable; a drive mechanism unit (6) which receives power supply from the power supply unit (311), and which rotates the rotatable body (250) at a speed corresponding to applied voltage from the power supply unit (311); a gear shift trigger (32T) which receives an input operation of rotation speed level of the rotatable body (250) by way of the user operation; and a gear change mechanism unit (7) which performs step-wise switching of the applied voltage from the power supply unit (311) to the drive mechanism unit (6) by selecting, as batteries to be used from among the three batteries (B) in the power supply unit (311), a number of the batteries (B) corresponding to the rotation speed level that has been input by the gear shift trigger (32T).
