The equipment has a cross beam (5) secured at a motor car (1) and releasably connected with a carriage (4) over a clutch mechanism (6) i.e. ball clutch mechanism. The clutch mechanism forms a non-positive connection between the motor vehicle and the carriage. A ball cup is connected with a ball head, and is part of a tension lever (9). The clutch mechanism is pivotally connected to the carriage via a joint about an axis. The carriage comprises a vertical movement mechanism (12) to which the cross beam is fixed. The joint is selected from a universal joint, an elastomer joint or a ball-and-socket joint. An independent claim is also included for an acceleration testing procedure.
