PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat device with a seating sensor which has high durability and can surely performs discrimination between a seated human body and an article.SOLUTION: A seat device 1 comprising a seating part 4, a headrest 2 and a backrest part 3 is used as a seat for a vehicle. Both of a cushion pad 5 and an S spring frame 6 which is disposed below the cushion pad 5 and supports the cushion pad 5, are incorporated into the seating part 4. The seating part 4 is equipped with a seating sensor comprising a magnetic sensor 10 incorporated into the cushion pad 5, and a permanent magnet 19 attached and fixed to the S spring frame 6. The magnetic sensor 10 is so configured as to be capable of detecting a change in a magnetic field (a change in magnetic flux density) generated by the permanent magnet 19 and applied to a sensor element 12 as an electric signal, and detecting a distance S between the sensor element 12 and the permanent magnet 19, variation &Dgr;S of the distance S, and the like. |
