PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved electrosurgical forceps guaranteeing uniform sealing of tissue when executing electrosurgical treatment.SOLUTION: A bipolar forceps 10 includes: an end effector assembly 100 having a first jaw member 110 and a second jaw member 120 which hold the tissue therebetween; a first conductive surface 112 having a conductive sealing plate and a dielectric layer which are coupled to the first jaw member; and a second conductive surface 122 having a conductive sealing plate which is coupled to the second jaw member. The respective conductive surfaces are adapted to be connected to a source of electro-surgical energy so that the sealing plates conduct the energy through the held tissue. |
