PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element which is excellent in photoelectric conversion efficiency and has high durability, and to provide a solar cell including the same.SOLUTION: The photoelectric conversion element comprises: a first electrode; a photoelectric conversion layer containing a semiconductor and a sensitizing dye; a solid hole transport layer; and a second electrode on a substrate. The solid hole transport layer contains a compound having a structure represented by general formula (1) or the like, or a polymer formed by polymerizing a multimer of the compound. The sensitizing dye contains at least one selected from the group consisting of a compound represented by chemical formula of a specific structure and a salt thereof. |
